After traveling all night, yesterday was pretty much a wash — but today marks Day 1 in Aberdeen, Scotland for the Rogue Invitational 2025 with Xtreme Lyfe Media!
The competition officially kicks off Friday morning at the P&J LIVE Arena, and we’re beyond psyched to be covering this incredible event for the first time. It’s an honor to add the Rogue Invitational to our expanding list of sports media coverage — alongside the CrossFit Games, Arnold Strongman Classic, UFC, Ring of Combat, and more.
Today gave us a rare bit of downtime before the action starts. With the VIP meet and greet scheduled for tomorrow night, Nicole and I decided to make the most of our first full day in Scotland. So, we grabbed a car and hit the road to explore a few historic castles — because, honestly, how can you be in Scotland and not do that? They don’t exactly have castles back home in New Jersey.
We wandered through centuries-old stone halls, talked with some incredible locals, and learned about the deep history surrounding these awe-inspiring structures. The architecture, the stories, the atmosphere — everything here feels like stepping into another world.
After we got back to Aberdeen, we stopped for dinner, and in one of those serendipitous moments that make travel unforgettable — the UK’s Strongest Woman, Rebecca Roberts, sat down in the booth right behind us. We instantly recognized her; we’ve covered her rise in the strongwoman scene for years.

Not wanting to interrupt her meal, I simply wished her luck this weekend — and that sparked an amazing 10-minute conversation. Rebecca was genuine, humble, and incredibly engaging, talking about her preparation, mindset, and excitement for the upcoming competition.
As media, we always try to respect athletes’ boundaries and avoid interviews when they’re “off the clock.” But this encounter just unfolded naturally, and she couldn’t have been more gracious. She looks focused, strong, and absolutely ready to put on a show this weekend — definitely an athlete to watch at the 2025 Rogue Invitational.
