Dickies Arena 2024 Games

From grueling endurance tests to explosive strength challenges, this year’s CrossFit Games promise to stretch athletes and entertain fans with six high-stakes workouts revealed to date.

Event 1: Run / Row / Run

Location: Jennings Landing (Offsite)
For Time:
- 4‑mile run
- 3,000‑meter row
- 2‑mile run

An endurance opener designed to test pacing and stamina from the very first rep. Fans at Jennings Landing can even try it themselves for a ranked leaderboard time.

Event 2: All Crossed Up

MVP Arena (10‑min cap)
For time:
- 20 wall walks
- 10 dumbbell shoulder-to-overs (70 lb for women / 100 lb for men)
- Multiple rounds alternating double-under cross‑overs and toes-to-bars

The reintroduction of the double‑under crossover—first seen in 2022—brings technical gymnastics back into the spotlight.

Event 3: Climbing Couplet

MVP Arena
4–3–2–1 reps of:
- Pegboard ascents
- Squat clean + front squat ladder

Weights:
- Women: 145–205 lb
- Men: 235–305 lb

A brutal combo that stresses grip, coordination, and maximal barbell strength under fatigue.

Event 4: Albany Grip Trip

MVP Arena
5 rounds for time of:
- 300‑meter run
- 12 deadlifts (Women 220 lb / Men 350 lb)
- 100‑ft handstand walk

This workout tests durability and balance through core-elements of CrossFit.

Event 5: 1RM Back Squat

Each athlete attempts their one-rep maximum back squat—a pure test of leg strength and squat mechanics.

Event 6: Going Dark / Running Isabel

Combined Double‑Header (MVP Arena)

Going Dark:
- 50/40-cal Echo Bike
- 100-ft yoke carry
- 30 deficit handstand push‑ups
- Reverse sequence: yoke → bike

Running Isabel:
5 rounds for time of:
- 200‑ft run
- 6 snatches (95 lb women / 135 lb men)

Concludes the competition with a demand for stamina, precision, and resilience under pressure.

Games Event Structure

According to CrossFit’s official release and recent previews, there will be 10 total individual-scored events and 8 team events, with back-to-back events integrated into the competition schedule to test recovery strategies.
